Hi, I would love to share a little about myself and the reason this project began. I am a mother to 4 beautiful children. Many years back as a child I did not get many birthday presents, a cake or even a HAPPY BIRTHDAY from my parents. They had many troubles that lead them to even more troubles and we did without with a lot of things other kids got. As a child it hurt when my birthday came around and I didn't receive anything it felt like the world forgot I existed.  Many years later as a parent we were having some money issues and we were not able to provide a cake or a gift for our son, but even though we couldn't we DID make sure that he knew we loved him it was the day we were blessed by him and we didn't want him to think he was not special.  We did get him something small as soon as we could few weeks later. 



I now volunteer my spare time at our local church food bank and I see many parents in the same spot we were in. It really hit me and I felt like I needed to do something about it. I am a custom cake decorator so I started using my profits to make free cakes for anyone who could not afford one to celebrate their special day. 



Again I just felt like I wasn't doing enough and I prayed about it. What more could I do?  A few weeks later a friend of mine came to me and said she would like to pair up with me and offer a free photo shoot with the cakes I give away. That is when it came to me, we would start a Birthday Package for children who would not be able to get one due to unfortunate events. I put out a call to all my wonderful friends and asked if anyone else would like to offer their talents for free to help make a child's day special.  We want everyone to know that no matter what the situation there is always hope and when you as for help, God will provide it somehow to you. 



I have a few lovely ladies who have offered to help, but we are still looking for any help out there.
